Regular Dental Check-ups

At Premier Smile we strongly believe in preventative dentistry. Through regular check-ups, early diagnosis, preventative advice or necessary treatment you will reduce the chances of bigger problems such as root canal problems, tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss. Regular check-ups and hygienist visits would give you and your family the best possible chance of maintaining good oral health for life.

Regular Oral Hygiene Visits

Our hygienist, Nicky, is a specially trained member of the team and plays a very important role in your oral health. She works very closely with our dentists to prevent and treat gum disease. Gum disease is the main cause of tooth loss, we therefore take the treatment of gum disease very seriously.

Your hygiene appointment will involve a thorough clean of your teeth and the removal of the bacterial plaque that builds up and contributes to tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath – creating an environment for your gums to return to normal health. The clean will leave your mouth healthy and breath smelling fresh. Our hygienist will also offer you advice for improving your oral hygiene regime between visits to Premier Smile.

If gum disease is present our hygienist will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and the severity of the gum disease. If extra hygienist visits are required, you can join one of Dental Plans.

Emergency treatment

If you require emergency dental care we schedule certain times during each working day for the treatment of dental emergencies. We do our very best to see patients in need of emergency treatment on the same day. To help us achieve this we would ask patients in difficulties to contact reception before 12 noon.

Outside normal surgery hours, patients can obtain emergency dental advice by phoning the Bedfordshire Emergency Dental advice line on 08456 030857.

Your appointment

We always try to see patients at the appointed time. If you are kept waiting there is usually a good reason and your patience is really appreciated. If you need to cancel or change your appointment please allow 48 working hours’ notice. This allows us to contact patients in need of urgent care. If enough notice is not given a cancellation fee may be charged.
